Pumpkin Patch

My brother Jesse, the kids, and I decided we would get out of the house, and enjoy the beauty of this day at the pumpkin patch.

Ear Problems

This morning while the girls were getting ready for school, I was talking to Ryan. He said, "Mom, I have blankie in my ear." I responded, "That's because you keep putting your blankie in there." He sat there with his finger in his ear, and Kira replied,"Ryan, you better get your finger out of your ear, or it will get stuck in there." Kids are so entertaining.

Service with a Smile

I am so proud of my man! A couple months ago my Pa had a heart attack, followed by a triple bypass. Needless to say he isn't quite up to the task of hard manual labor. So last week Brooke, and some of my other family members took on a huge service project. My G-Pa needed 44 pine trees cut down due to bark beetles. I only wish I had a before picture so you could see just how much work there was to be done. In two days, and much hard work, they are nearly finished. There are many piles of wood like the one pictured. Not only did he do this for my family, but he did it with a smile on his face. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that is was raining, and that didn't even stop them. I love this man! What a great guy!

Sharing

So I walked into the kitchen this morning to find Kira and Ryan sharing a chair during breakfast. Hellooo, there are 5 other chairs at the table. Well, at least they are sharing without fighting.

Milestones

Just a couple of first's that only a mother would go goo goo over. Drew's first swing ride, and first time sitting without falling. Sooooo adorable!

Chuck E. Cheese

Ryan can't get enough of his trains, and cars. He spent every single one of his tokens on this.
Brinley and Caitlyn went for the machines that spit out many tickets. You know, to get the cool prizes.
Me and Drew. Just chillin'.
Spenceformer came by to get more tokens, and some cuddles from Amber.
All the kids being silly. It was so funny to watch.

School's Back

Caitlyn and Kira on their first day of school. They were excited to go to school, but not so excited to have their picture taken. Apparently it's "embarrassing". Parenting just got more fun. I now know I can embarrass my children. I think that's considered leverage? Tee Hee! Yeah for school!
